MA63882 Available on: Schedule NOW! When most kids are asked what they want to be when they grow up, the answer is usually something like a firefighter or an astronaut. Even then, Joseph always responded with "massage therapist." What started out as helping his mother with a bad back became a far more time consuming task when the rest of the family found out and wanted work done on them too. However the dream was forgotten and it took many years of trying out different career paths before he remembered his passion and went for it, graduating from Educating Hands in March, 2011.
From studying physics to teaching English at an elementary school, nothing has quite fulfilled Joseph as body work. Seeing how the body works is just too cool for him. So far he has learned to incorporate bits and pieces from a large variety of modalities into his massages, using deep work, light pressure, stretches, gliding, percussion, vibration, hot stones, range of motion work and energy work to affect the body from every angle possible.
Currently, Joseph is in the process of mastering the art of Thai massage and Neuromuscular Therapy so that he can become more affective at bringing relief to those in pain.
He is available in the Whole Foods in Coral Gables from 4-8 every Tuesday, and in Aventura from 1-5 every Wednesday.
